AI can help you create content faster.
But if you simply type:
Write a LinkedIn post about marketing.
You'll probably get something that sounds like everyone else.
Try this instead:
1. Give AI the real situation.
Don't say, Write about customer retention.
Say:
Our customers are buying once but aren't coming back.
Give me five practical reasons this could be happening.
2. Give it your audience.
Tell AI who you're talking to.
Write this for busy business owners who understand marketing but want practical ideas they can implement.
3. Give it your opinion.
AI doesn't have your experience.
Tell it what you actually believe.
I think businesses focus too much on acquiring new customers and not enough on keeping existing ones.
Build the post around this perspective.
4. Give it examples.
Instead of asking AI to sound natural, show it what natural sounds like.
Paste two or three posts you've written and say:
Use the writing style, sentence length, and tone of these examples. Don't copy the wording.
5. Don't publish the first draft.
Read it.
Delete the phrases you would never say.
Add your experience.
Replace generic examples with real ones.
That's the difference.
AI can provide the speed.
But your experience provides the substance.
And your judgment makes the content yours.
What is one thing you always change when AI writes your content?
